Mixed Media Collage and Assemblage
Teaching Artist: Jamie Kelty
Ages: 6- 12
During this week we will explore two and three dimensional
aspects of collage and assemblage. The class will explore the
development of collage and assemblage from the ready-mades of Duchamp,
the mystical boxes of Cornell, the collages of Bearden and Raschenburg,
and the circus by Calder. Then we will look at contemporary artists like
Ellen Gallagher, Mark Bradford, Os Gemnos, and Hiroshi Sunairi. The
class will explore composition through a dynamic additive process.Register
Radio Podcast
Teaching Artist: Ryan Naideau
Ages: 6- 12
Find your voice in this radio and sound class. In this
intensive class, you will write, perform and record your own radio
podcast show. From discussing con춃epts and writing scripts to recording
sound effects and delivering dialogue, we will create radio dramas,
comedies, mysteries and science fiction. This class will focus on
creative writing, vocal performance, and storytelling. You will learn
how to record and edit using Garage Band in our brand new sound booth. A
great class for talkers, storytellers and future NPR lovers.Register

Multi-Sport Camp and Gymnastics Camp

(Campers must turn 5 by December, 2011)
Hours: 8:45am - 3:30pm
The Field House offers Multi-Sport and Gymnastics Camps during school breaks. Both camps offer young athletes the opportunity to learn from experienced instructors at our world-class facility. Multi-Sport Camp includes soccer, basketball, baseball, team handball and more. In addition to each camp's core curriculum, campers participate in other activities around the Piers, including ice skating, rock climbing and bowling.

Our younger kids will focus on kitchen basics like kitchen etiquette, mixing and measuring while our older class will learn more independence in the kitchen and advanced techniques.
